Total Soft S.A. has a role not only in front of its customers, suppliers or employees, but also in the community and the surrounding environment. Total Soft S.A. fully understands the multidimensional role that an organization must assume in society. That is why, for over 28 years, it has been investing in initiatives with social impact.
By engaging in various projects, TotalSoft manages to be a good example for the community. Its CSR programs involve supporting cultural, educational, environmental protection initiatives, donations for socially disadvantaged children, as well as the recognition of excellence in various fields - https://totalsoft.ro/compania/responsibility.
Responsibility towards employees
We invest in our employees to develop the professional knowledge and skills needed to effectively fulfill their roles. We help our employees reach their potential by investing in customized training programs and providing a safe work environment for our employees.
At the same time, we promote a culture and a working environment in which our employees interact with respect, courtesy and fairness, promoting equal opportunities for all. We encourage and value a diverse mix of people, viewpoints, talents and experiences.
Responsibility to customers
We are committed to providing quality services, putting our extensive experience, deep understanding of business challenges, qualified resources and available information at the service of our clients. Our mission is to build solutions that support our clients to deliver new types of market value, to create a new growth trajectory for their businesses. We thus strive to develop results that create a significant impact for our clients.
Responsibility towards partners and suppliers
The partners we work with reflect our ethical standards. Together with them, we lay the foundations of business, technology and strategic partnerships to offer added value to our customers.
Responsibility towards the environment and society
We operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. We are dedicated to the promotion and development of the local community and support the realization of social and humanitarian projects. We turned our attention to a noble goal, that of transforming the future of some communities in Romania through education, culture, performance support and environmental protection projects. We've turned this into a long-term project that everyone on the TotalSoft team can get involved in. Below are just a few examples of what we've been able to do so far.
We invest in education
We donated laptops and tablets needed for the "online school" to three communities whose members face material difficulties, proposing to give children with good academic results a small window to the big world.
We supported the annual national contest InfoEducation, Tabăra Gălăciuc, Vrancea county, which is aimed at talented high school students interested in developing skills in the field of computer applications.
We joined the United Way Romania effort and the "Change starts with us" campaign to contribute, through donations and volunteering, to the education of the young generation. Only by getting involved, we ensure that all children, regardless of the parents' financial situation, have access to a quality education. We encourage you to get involved, to support United Way Romania programs together. DONATE. BE A VOLUNTEER. ACT NOW.
We invest in culture
We have developed a program to help refugees from Ukraine, not only from a material point of view, but also from a professional perspective. Therefore, we proposed to offer them the possibility to learn a new job, to get a job in Romania and to be able to support their expenses. All this was achieved with the help of colleagues, who personally got involved both through donations and as trainers in paid internship programs dedicated to Ukrainian citizens. In 2022 we launched the first intensive training program for technical consultants/SQL developer, bringing together 14 trainees with Ukrainian citizenship. In the project, their previous training was not relevant, but only the minimal knowledge of English, to facilitate communication with the trainers, as well as their desire to acquire new skills. At the end of the paid intership, the trainees were integrated by the TotalSoft teams where they will continue their professional ascent.
Together with Logo, we developed the international cultural project "Virtuoso". The project is built around the musical personality of Dimitrie Cantemir, in his capacity as an international personality, who created historical links between various cultures. "Virtuoso" proposes the musical works of Dimitrie Cantemir in Romania, adapted and reinterpreted for orchestra, in the composition of Cengiz Onural, for the first time in history.
We facilitated the publication in Romanian of the book "Dimitrie Cantemir - theoretician and composer of Turkish music", by Eugenia Popescu-Judetz, in partnership with Curtea Veche Publishing House. This book presents a series of monographs and essays on Turkish music and Romanian folklore, originally published in 1999, exclusively in Turkish and English. The book is a tribute to Dimitrie Cantemir's contribution to music, a side that is less known at home.
We support projects initiated by the Bucharest Writers' Association together with other organizations, such as Euro Culturart and the Romanian Writers' Union. We get involved in the promotion of multi-art projects - the Poetry and Jazz Marathon.
We invest in performance
We sponsored a group of 6 students from St. Sava National College who won first prize at the NASA Ames Research Center and National Space Society (NSS) competition with the SERENDIPITY project - a ship placed in space, independent of any planet, capable of supporting 12,500 people, outclassing 3,000 other international teams.
We supported the expeditions of Alex Găvan, one of Romania's top climbers at extreme altitude. Alex aims to climb the 14 peaks of over 8,000 meters in the world without supplemental oxygen and without Sherpas. So far, the Romanian climber has reached six of these peaks, three of which represented the First Romanian Ascent: Shisha Pangma (8027m) in 2013; Makalu (8463m) in 2008; Gasherbrum I (8068m) in 2007. Conquest of Broad Peak (8047m) in 2014; Manaslu (8156m) in 2011; Cho Oyu (8201m) in 2006 marked the second Romanian ascent.
Andrei Purice, student in the 10th grade at the National College "I. L. Caragiale" from Ploiesti, gold medalist at the Balkan Informatics Olympiad in October 2010, received the award "The most promising young hope of Romanian IT" during the TotalSoft Days event.
We invest in the environment
We develop centralized internal recycling programs in partnership with the administration of the Class A office building where TotalSoft is headquartered.
We have been involved in paper and cardboard recycling programs, in partnership with "Copacul de Hârtie", or in waste collection programs together with "Let's Do It Romania".
We recycle consumables in partnership with the administrator of the space where we operate.
