Charisma Medical Software, the IT solution for managing specific activities of medical facilities (hospital, clinic and laboratory) provided by the regional software producer TotalSoft, has just exceeded 50, 000 tests processed daily by 50 laboratories that use it.
The private medical services market in Romania has grown in recent years, amounting in 2011 to nearly half a billion euro, and is a growing alternative of medical units sought by the Romanian public. After realizing this potential, big players of the market expanded their business and improved their clinics with own laboratories so that they can rapidly and accurately treat medical tests requests.
“We receive a daily average of 1,000 medical requests. For their review, we process at least 6000 analyses. Out of these, 20% are urgent and need to be delivered within 2 hours. When the analysis is complete, the analyzer automatically sends the results in Charisma where they are validated by the technician and the doctor, and within in seconds, they become available for the hospital and clinics doctors.” says Dr. Andreea Alexandru, Chief Laboratory Physician, Regina Maria, Bucharest.
Charisma supports the activities of medical laboratories of the largest private health companies in Romania and ensures the mandatory monthly reporting to the National House of Insurance (CNAS), as well as automatic synchronization with SIUI (Integrated Information System).
