The need to expand the team appeared due to increasing company's investments during the previous year, to over 4 million euros for the development of new products, as well as existing ones, with an emphasis on integrating AI, IoT and chatbot technologies in Charisma business applications. As the investment had to be sustained also from the human resources point of view, the company took on the challenge of hiring over 100 developers and consultants in six months, between May and November 2019. Thus, the local TotalSoft team has integrated new mid and senior-level software engineers, experienced in .NET, C#, React JS technologies, experienced consultants in production, agriculture, leasing or retail fields, but also juniors for developer positions, technical and business consultants.
"We looked for colleagues who have the same values that guide us at the organizational level, like innovation, team spirit, curiosity, orientation to problem-solving, integrity and transparency, care for clients and colleagues. On the other hand, we have provided them with a proper environment for their professional development, based foremost on well-defined trainings and constant involvement from the mentors that facilitated their integration into teams and business”, said Cosmin Ciobanu, HR Director TotalSoft.
Most of the new colleagues, about 60 juniors employed in the positions of developer or technical and business consultants, came from the internal programs dedicated to the young college graduates and master's students, carried out under the name TotalSoft Academy. Two such programs had run in 2019, lasting two months each. In this case, the recruitment process is a constant one, many graduates being integrated into teams at the end of the program, where they develop with the permanent support and encouragement of the mentors. In the next three years, the talent needs will be largely ensured from such programs and traineeships.

Overall, the success of attracting a large number of candidates and the integration of over 100 people in the TotalSoft team in a short time was also based on a mix of differentiating elements, which offers an easy integration of new colleagues, as well as monitored training and constant evaluation that responds to the business requirements, the very clear structure of the trainings, along with transparency and involvement from the mentors. Moreover, the company provides new employees with dedicated work methodologies and the continuation of mentoring after employment, for a period of three months.
