TotalSoft, the Charisma ERP system producer, ranked first place among the Romanian ERP solutions providers, according to “ERP Romania 2012. Analysis and trends of the ERP software products and related services” study, published on 28th of September, by the market research and consultancy company Pierre Audoin Consultants.
The study outcomes indicate a 16% market share for TotalSoft, considering the overall ERP market stagnation around 100M Euro. The Company recorded a 20% increase in licenses and maintenance; the increase is seven times larger than the next participant’s one. In terms of related services, TotalSoft ranks first for the second consecutive year, with a 14% increase.
"2011 did not mark the "recovery" everybody was expecting for the Romanian ERP market. Thus, IT vendors that gained market share were mainly those who have adapted themselves very quickly to the "sensitivity" of customers in terms of price and adaptability of business solutions to the challenging environment. With a 25.92 M euro turnover in 2011, out of which over 17M euro was generated by providing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions on the Romanian market, TotalSoft managed to consolidate its position as a market leader, outrunning for the third consecutive year other major worldwide B2B software providers.
The turnover obtained by Charisma in 2011 was generated by verticals like retail and distribution (32,9%), manufacturing (21,9%), services (19,63) and financial-banking (13,16%). Thus, TotalSoft ranked first in the retail, distribution and services verticals and obtained 4th place in the manufacturing vertical.

In a market that grew only by 4.6% compared to the previous year, characterized by PAC through "restraint and efficiency, in which decisions are made more carefully and budgets are allocated to meet clear objectives," TotalSoft’s evolution however recorded an increase of two percent in market share, accounting for almost half of the growth in the overall market.
However, PAC estimations for the next 5 years foresee a market development due to international companies concerned with finding partners who provide complete IT solutions, reorganizing the electricity producers in Romania or providing local management with solutions that ensure better financial control and transparency of the business.
